To early to tell much about type he does look like he might have a good beard the color leakage on the wingtips is weird its usually on the hackle and saddle feathers not sure what it means for the color genetics. He looks decent should be able to tell more when he feathers in fully. I am excited my cockerel from David should ship Monday.

Henry, lucky you

I really do need a decent roo to work with, but even thought this lil guy is still tiny, my hopes are for at LEAST a nice full beard...time will tell type and of course structure. What's been your exp with the leakage at this age?? He's the only one who has it in wings, rest have none, or very little in hack area.

I will have lots of cockerel and eggs for you no worries. As you know I got my start from Leisha after Mike Stapish, Dick, and Her did years of work making these birds the way they are. You started from square one so mine don't have any leakage Dick and Leisha will better be able to help you out with that.

A black I believe he is a sibling to the splash pullets. I think Cindy is also getting hers.

Leisha, what's the best way to go about correcting this and bringing in a fuller beard w/blacks?? My roos have very nice full beards now (1 blue 1 salmon) and I was just admiring them lastnight. This chick is from them and the color hens I've got with them. Girls all have nice beards now as well...even the splash hen is very 'cheeky'.

Oh sorry ha ha I like your male the most and the top pullet there is something off about the bottom one. Are these the ones from my old hattrick birds? The males hackles and saddle should be cleaner but his type isn't bad at all. The top pullet looks to have to many points on her comb.

Thanks! Yes, these came from your hattrick line. I noticed that two of the pullets have too many comb points. The one that has the best comb has the least leg feathering! Oh, well. We'll see how they do.
