Faverolles Thread

Not sure if the variety has its own name, but the breeder I got them from is working on establishing a line with that darker cinnamon color. I personally really like the crisp contrast between the light colored breast and the darker colored back.

I would love to tell you who this wonderful breeder is, just not sure if it is ok to post other people's names, even if to give them credit? I will say that his birds took a lot of prizes in Canada this fall.

Basically its just a lot of stuff Dick and Peter have said ha ha. I had some others that other people had but they all had pictures.

Thanks for the photos Hannah do you know who the other birds belonged to?

I like the second two bantams a lot. The hen could use a blockier build but her color is better then the first one in my opinion.

Not sure about the LF though I wish there beards were in so we could see them.

That first bantam female looks like she has vulture hocks...??

Yes now that I look at it the second male bantam also appears to have vulture hocks. Thats a big problem. Thats probably why I like hen 2 better I noticed it on the first hen but didn't say anything.

What are vulture hocks? Does it have to do with the angle of the leg feathers?
