Faverolles Thread

That first bantam female looks like she has vulture hocks...??

What are vulture hocks? Does it have to do with the angle of the leg feathers?

Yes on a vulture hocked bird the leg feathers go backwards away from the leg its like a hard feathered extension of the fluff they are supposed to be on a few breeds but certainly not Faverolles.

Oh, I can see it now. Thank you.

Henry, since you are sorting through this thread anyway, what about a page or thread with FAQs about Faverolles? I know often similar questions are asked again and again. If there was a FAQ page, when newcomers ask a question that has already been answered, we can refer them to the FAQ page. Maybe this should be on the FFoA site? Just a thought . . .

Thanks for the photos Hannah do you know who the other birds belonged to?

I like the second two bantams a lot. The hen could use a blockier build but her color is better then the first one in my opinion.

Not sure about the LF though I wish there beards were in so we could see them.

Henry

Aside from hannah's pullet the other Largefowl Salmon Faverolles belonged to Angela Faulkner and the Bantam Salmon Faverolles belonged to Katie Buss

Okay Henry, after cruising through the FFoA site I see what you are doing. That is going to be really helpful!

Sometime I know a particular breeding or color question has been discussed on here but can't find it easily. This will make it much easier to reference earlier discussions.

I agree. We need to talk on the web page more. Informative info on colors, breedings and related stuff by members. That is the reason we designed it. BYC is okay, but this will be better
