Nine out of 10 of their bantam blue salmon eggs have hatched so far. I haven't given up on the last one yet either. Best hatch rate I've ever had from shipped eggs!

Does anyone have any pics from about 6 days old? I have a mystery chick I can't identify and I think this is it...thanks!

The underfluff of a salmon hen is grey. It is blue-grey on a blue salmon and white on a splash salmon.

Oh! I thought the underfluff only had to do with how dark/light the hen was! I've got to go check all of my hens! What would a splash salmon rooster look like? Only out of curiosity. Would he be fully splash w/o the salmon pattern, or would the area that is usually black on a salmon be splash colored?

What if the underfluff is not consistently one color? Is there an area I should check specifically? I have a hen who has white underfluff across some of her back, but it is a very light grey on the rest of her back.

Also, I'm not sure. But I might have a blue hen as well. Her underfluff is darker and possibly has a blue tint (how blue should it look? Grey looks sorta blue to me already. :\\ ) And then I have several hens who look plain grey. Does anybody have photos? Or I could take photos if I can get my camera to work today.

I might look into buying a plain black rooster to test their colors. I wouldn't know what to do with blues and splashes. I would have to get more roosters and expand my breeding project. What a terrible shame! More birds!
