Thats exciting. I am in Jonesboro Ga and want to start raising Salmon Faverolles. I just found out that you can tell the sex by the feathers of two week old chicks. To my supprise. They are very beautiful chichens. I am happy to hear they are good natured.

Oh no! Lulu isn't a "kill them with kindness" kinda gal. She means business. She is the bane of my poultgry existence right now. I seriously dislike her!! She barks at all the chickens all the time and tries to dig in all the time etc. Drives me nuts!! Now roscoe I can have a little understanding with. He acts like they dont' exist unless one gets out, then he's all business. I understand that!! But lulu is neurotic about it. She definitely my hubby's dog!!

Thanks Peter will have to get a camera charger and post some pictures. They are the friendliest faverolles I have had which I guess is a good thing for apartment/ small backyard living. Tempting to get a cockeral from Leisha or Dick to use on them but don't think that would work. Even though I have always had chickens in a suburban setting.
