I found out I have to move this month and I won't be able to take most of my birds. I'm already trying to sell my Toulouse flock, but I need to decide which Faverolles I'm keeping. I'm pretty sure I can keep all of the girls as long as they don't have any major faults that I've missed. I can keep my two older roosters, one young rooster, and one cockerel chick. I think I know which older cockerel I want to keep, but I want to make sure he doesn't have any type faults or anything before I sell the rest. I'm not sure at all about the younger ones. I would love to keep them longer to see how they turn out. ):
Lots of photos! Just a warning! All I have is cell phone pictures though! Sorry! My camera's charging cord broke
14 week old Faverolle pullets and cockerels
This is the cockerel I really would like to keep. Can anyone else see any reason I should not keep him? He's a little snarky, but he's been in a pen with sussex and EE mixes and has had to stand his ground to get anything and he's nice enough when I want to hold him. In the last picture he is standing with his direct brother; his brother is facing the camera.
This is my other option. He is about 2 weeks younger and has not developed his colors as well. I think I like his tail better then the first, but he has a couple too many points in his comb. Does anyone think he would be better then the first with time?
And I'm seeing a lot of different body shapes in my pullets. I would like to keep as many as I can, but I'm still not sure how the angle of the tail should be, or how they should be developing as pullets, to be like my hens. Let me know if any of the birds are unacceptable in the breeding pen. All of them have great toes, I am mostly judging type and color at this point. They too are 12-14 weeks old. The pictures are in no particular order, just let me know which picture has the bird in it, and I'll identify it later.
These are my main roosters now, while I'm posting photos.
I will be selling my Favoralles in the next couple of months or sooner, they are about 1 1/2 yrs old.
they are all Hens, 2 white, 1 black and 2 blue (one of the blues has wadles not a beard)
these birds were culls from Dick's Flock.
I'm in RI I would like pick up or delivery when the time comes.
if anyone is interested Message me or E-mail me [email protected]

Hi, Am sorry that you need to think about moving when You clearly enjoy your birds. I am still in the novice category but when judging their presence and tail sets and all....try to watch them at different times....I have several hens that sometimes look slouchy, and later proud and special. Many of their tails will evenly fan but often will sliver to a point and angle differently. Best of Luck, eliz
So, if you remember a while back I had posted a couple pics of this goofy blue salmon cockerel with all the barring.....
And talked about just how much the boys change before maturity....well, he's far from mature, but here's what the handsome devil looks like as of today.....
I've had him for sale for a long time, but he is staying at least until he is fully mature!
Well these arent the BEST pics in the world, BUT...I swear Leisha, you sent me a STOCKING Roo! This 'big' little man follows me all over 5 acres of yard! Then when I go feed the horses, eventually he ends up (with me) in the pasture. Well today, I cought him being sneeky, so I took some shots to show you
