If she was small, it could have been a hawk though. I have had two young birds grabbed this month by a little sharp shinned hawk. ): He's small, but very daring. Even when I chase after him and yell he stays long enough to grab them, and only goes as far as a nearby tree. I also lost three of my best 2 week old chicks to a cat last month, including one from Cloverleaf! Ever since, I've had to keep the chicks either in an outdoor dog kennel or inside.
