When you get the chance, would you post a pic of one of the eggs? I'm trying to figure out if my two pullets are laying and I have never seen a faverolles egg so I don't know how the color would compare to my Cochins and Brahmas.

I will try Im away on vacation now but I will be back on sunday.
Everyone pray the boy settles in and starts to quite down. I have been given a mandate either he quites down and stops making so much noise and competing with the previously quite LF black Ameraucana boy or I get rid of him!!! So please pray I can find a solution and keep the little guy quite.

Ya I know its really bad hopeing he is just settling in and he will settle down. I might keep him in the well lit shed for half the day and then let him go out with the girls during the day. I could keep two girls in the shed with him part of the time but I think he would still crow and make the big guy crow to. Hope I can arrive at a solution he is actually one of my favorite chickens just a very handsome fellow. Im gonna make a new topic under chickne behavior about this and see if anyone has any ideas.

Yes, unfortunately when you have more than one roo they want to answer each other, and don't want to stop. A single roo generally isn't too bad though my old guy made a lot of noise this past spring.

Good luck!!
Thanks we will try and make it work for this week and then the little boy will be out of here. He is so beautiful though it will be really hard to give him up espeacially becaue I don't mind the crowing. Wish I lived on a farm
