Faverolles always has an s on the end plural or singular I thought. Like Marans another french breed. Maybe I am wrong.

Yeah I got that. Just thought its a bit like saying birds fanciers club v bird fanciers club. That its more than one is a given without having to use the plural s
I really like the design though. Looks really smart and I'd be ordering one if I was in America![]()
breed of chicken. The breed was developed in the 1860s in north-central France, in the vicinity of the villages ofHoudan and Faverolles. The breed was given the name of the latter village and, therefore, the singular is also Faverolles, not Faverolle.
I'm sure I read somewhere that the breed is called Faverolles and that the S is there when talking about one or a dozen. It's not like a Brahma where you're adding an s for plural... one Brahma, two Brahmas. With Faverolles it's one Faverolles, two Faverolles, etc.
Can someone more learned correct me if I'm wrong, because that's how I interpreted what I had read.
X2.I have always used the S on the end, no matter the number. I did some research about it awhile back when I first fell in love with breed, and found a site with an article about the spelling similar to Wikipedia's. The S is always present.
