So sorry you have a bad carrier. My carrier is awesome. She txt me when she is bringing in a package and if we are not home she makes sure it is shaded and dry where she leaves it.

My confidence level is so low right now after my first unsuccessful hatch. IS THERE ANY BREEDER ON BYC who is willing to hatch me 5-6 chicks and then ship them to California? I am willing to pay $10/chick plus the cost of shipping! ANYONE?

I just set another 11 eggs but these are the same ones the driver threw over my gated fence! They were supposed to be held at the post office! I'm sure they're all scrambled inside even though the eggs were not broken. I don't have much hope for them. I bought them from PipeOmar, another BYC member.

@chickiesmommy where are you in California ? we’re in San Francisco. We might have some eggs in the coming weeks. (though at the moment we’re more focused on fav crosses than purebreds!)

He’s growing the Faverolles cheeks & beard, and has a tiny fifth toe, but no feathered legs.

I am nearby in Castro Valley, next to Pleasanton. I hatched one successfully, fell in love then Lucky suddenly passed away after 7 days. I was devastated. I know it's the wrong time to find chicks in general but I'm having awful luck with shipped eggs. All the air cells are totally messed up.

@chickiesmommy Agreed, shipped eggs are tricky. We might have a SF roo to give away in a few weeks, in which case you could hatch your own eggs

That's great but I need an SF pullet too! I would love a rooster. You said you might have eggs in the next few weeks? Is one of your girls almost ready to lay?

Hello. I am brand new to having chickens or pellets! I think we have one Faverolli due to furry face, furry legs and an extra toe. Her tail feathers have not grown in or they have been pecked at from where we got her. She was born in May so that makes her 4 months. Can you help me figure out her breed? Thank you!!!
