This is my hatchling at 1 month and 1 day old. A breeder said CheepCheep has a slow feathering gene. She still looks like a baby...with bed head issues.

Wow! That IS slow feathering! Good way to have a baby chickie for longer love the little feather bits peeking through.

This is one of the reasons I thought she was a boy but a breeder told me it's 100% girl. One out of 40 eggs that hatched and I lucked out with a girl! The breeder said since she has the slow feathering gene, she's going to go through a long fuggly stage

Adorable she's a salmon, yes? She'll start getting foot feathering and chest feathering soon and you'll know for sure then (assuming she has good color type).
