Hi Everyone

I hope you don't mind if I butt in. I picked up 27 chicks last Monday from Meyers. I got 4 SF girls and 1 boy. The male wouldn't eat or drink and had lost weight. I had to cull him, it broke my heart.
Henry are you going to the chickenstock in Pa? I'm in West virginia about 3 hrs. away. I was wondering if antone is bringing SF large fowl that i could buy?

I got a pretty good pic of my Favs, so I thought I'd show them off. What do you think of the rooster? I've never raised them before, so I don't know if his coloring is going to be good or not.

Jonathan, definitely a pullet, They're feathering out beautifully. They look almost mohagony, I wonder if they'll lighten up with their molt.

Aww, thanks, that's sweet...I think I might have two more boys though - I just hope they are as sweet as my little Rupert was...

I got the Lavender D'uccles cockerel today I will post pictures of him looks like he isn't buff dilute which is good. Not much of a beard on him but that is ok not much wattle either and he has nice red earlobes.
