lol I was just feeling boring with 'only' salmons... but I want to get some time getting them right before I go into colors... plus the lavender work will be well under way by then

. I love lavenders... and have some lav split black orps. Hmmm.
News flash from our county fair....

Claudelle (roo from Bridgette Riddle) just went BB/Best Continental (actuall ONLY continental, but the judge-Jim Sallee- was very complimentary about him), & Breeze (pullet from eggs from Jamie MacCallum's flock in Texarkana) received nice compliments as well.
Germaine, the fractious one, had to stay home as no 'mean' birds were allowed...he would have, at minimum, frightened every child to walk by his cage.

Trimming his muff hasn't helped.
The new chicks from Dick's eggs are coming along well... looks like 4 pullets & a cockerel as of today.

Glad to hear you did great at the county fair. Yeah Henry I am very proud of these cockrels. They are still growing but I am taking a couple to the Fav National and see what the judge thinks. I picked the judge and it is Matt Lhamon. He is the Vic President of the ABA. I think he will do a good job. I can't keep all of hese cockerels though. I put my hatch from June 16th outside yesterday. They are having a ball. My husband said they were too small, but they are doing just fine.
Glad to hear you are back Henry. Did you have a good time?

I had a great time. Hope you do well at Fav national with them! Wish I could make it I am going to try next year. Take lots of pictures of please post and email the results around! My two week olds went outside before I left. Its so hot it doesn't matter they will be fine! at least you have some really solid cockerels to choose from. If I was breeding salmons I would try and buy one of those off you for a cockerel breeding line.

I just wanted to wish everyone a good day. Hopefully later on today, I will have my 3rd grandbaby. They are inducing my daughter Steph at 7 a.m. My Grandson Talon should make his way into the world sometime today. Will let everyone know. Keep them in your thoughts.

Congrats hope it goes well. I still can't believe a grandmother! My mom has to be older then you and she still has kids at home. Crazy how things work that way. Give us an update when you get the chance.

Came home from Maine yesterday to this surprise. There are 4 little ones, the other 2 are hiding.
