Faverolles Thread

Well, since the last one had like 11,000 birds, and everyone who didn't get to go - like me - has been kicking themselves ever since, I would expect even more than 14,000. I can hardly wait! And it's on my birthday, too!

Maybe I can get some nice birds as presents! (Hint, hint)

I am so glad you had a good time. Well I am a sucker for little kids. I hope your daughter has fun with the chicks. We got home last evening around 7:30. unloaded and then collapsed. It will be a busy day in the barn.

anyone in SW Vt area interested in Salmon Favorelle roos? I have 5 that I need to find homes for. I purchases them from welp hatchery. I think they are 12 weeks old. Need to double check the calender. If intersted please send me a pm and i can get some pics for you.

Ok. Need some input. We need to name all of our new chickens. Yes I k ow some of you are rolling your eyes but it's for the kids!!!! So for the sake of discussion I like names that go together so have come up with some ideas. So we could go classic French or German for their ancestry
French - boys - Pierre, gaston, Bruno. Girls - Camille Colette luce Lucy Sophie
German - boys - Adolf, fritz, Hugo. Girls - Adele astrid Heidi Giselle Ingrid Gretchen

Or since we are in the south go with a variation and do Cajun French
boys - armand remy girls- belle Sabine Evangeline

or in true southern tradition
boys - Bobby Jack, Joe Lee, Cletus, Abner
girls - Dixie, Daisy, Sissy, Peggy sue, Scarlett, Lorene

Ha! How stinkin cute would a lil banty roo named Bobby Jack be???!!!
