I have my very first broody Fav!!! Of course I'm excited, BUT naturally she would go broody when I have 2 people waiting for eggs! Silly girl! (Blue salmon bantam pullet 6 months old, almost to the day, hatched from Henry's eggs).

Send her to my house! I'd much rather have a broody than use an incubator. Get this - I have 2 Cochins and 3 Silkies and nobody will cooperate!
heh. i have a 1/2 cochin 1/2 silkie girl that just hatched 1 sweet chickie for me last week and already she has taken another egg under her while she's brooding! this will be her 4th attempt since this May to hatch eggs! so far she's been succesful 2 times, and the first time was because another hen gave up on 2 eggs when they were taking too long to hatch while the other chicks were out for days!
