I am fairly new to the Faverolles breed. I bought some eggs on Ebay this spring and hatched out 1 pullet and 4 roos. I am going to try to post pics to get some critique on them, they were all hatched mid march, so they are about 7 months. I am very taken with them, they have very fun personalities, and I think their coloring is just awsome, but I would like someone elses opinion on them, that knows more about what to breed for.

My first attempt at uploading pics so we will see if it worked.

cockerel looks beardless too! but didn't someone a few hundred pages back post a Brit site that was developing a beardless fav and calling it something else but admitting they were really just beardless favs!

I think I figured out how to upload photo's so I want to put another pic of my roos, to get some opinions on what to look for, to breed the best possible bird.

Thanks everyone for your replies, the pullet is beardless - I thought maybe that was because she was young? I love them, but at the same time I am interested in breeding for the betterment of the breed as well as for fun. As I said before, I have much to learn about this breed, but I am very smitten with them. I have just started letting them forage in the yard the last couple weeks and locking them up at night. They seem to have really silly personalities running around the yard, chasing each other, but they are quiet and friendly.
