Definitely a she. I don't know much about it, but she sort of looks like a blue? I'm still trying to figure it out myself with my hens.
Nice looking girl, she has a sweet face. Welcome to Faverolles!

She is a Salmon, but there are also Blue Salmons. It has to do with the color of their underfluff. Blues have an underfluff with a bluish tint to it. And usually the wingtips are grey not black.

Faverolles are such sweet birds. They make great pets. I have a rooster that is such a good boy, I had a three year old almost take him home without complaint at a petting zoo. He can be held like a baby or anything and he never kicks or pecks.

): No, not right. But very very pretty. I have a hen like that, with more brown and less black. I'm trying to breed her to my lightest rooster to see if it will counteract the dark colors, but I haven't hatched any chicks yet to see if it worked. Good luck with your girl. She has pretty good type.

Thanks, I have 6 all together all pullets and all have varying shades from correct to some black on the muff :-( but for me, I am not breeding and I like the colors.

The latest thing I read, from Wolftracks, was to keep the chick in a coffee cup for a few days to keep the leg from sliding out while it gains strength. I haven't tried it yet but it sounds good.
Good luck

The cup trick DOES work...Good luck to you.

Thought while I was 'catching up' on the thread I'd post a few updated pics of my b/b/s hens & pullets. Most of them are coming out of molt (as you can tell)
