Peter, here is a BIG OL'

from me. Once you dust yourself off, chalk it up for experience and be able to regain that start you once had. If possible, you can trace back to their eggs from the people you shipped eggs to and see if once their chicks become of breeding ages, they should be able to help you there.

You just have beautiful birds!

When you have a broody sitting on in your experience how long does it usually take for your chicks to hatch. Had 3 hatch yesterday but, nothing more since 3 PM yesterday. Should I float test the rest?

Thanks,
MIchelle;)

i've had as much as 5 days between a chick hatching. the broody was determined and sat there knowing there were more going to hatch. i've also had a broody hatch one each day for about 5 days straight! it all depends on when the egg was laid and the moma took it in to set!

help? maybe...
I noticed tonight that my salmon Favs checks and nostril area have turned red. Before they were a cream color. but now red. Is something wrong? did I get a defective bird? some weird glitch in the wiring? completely normal and chill out?

Does anyone know any Faverolle breeders in Florida? Or someone who could ship? I had 2 roos, Edgar, & Allen, and 3 hens, Pancake, Waffles, & Snowball. All of them but Edgar got eaten by coons last summer, they took out not only my faves but ALL of my birdies ;n;

Just recently my roo, Edgar passed, and I've been trying to find more Favs, but all I've found so far are chicks from hatcherys. Could someone help me out???
