Cloverleaf farms
I just realized you live in Or. Yikes I live in NC all the way to the other coast. Have you sold eggs and someone else has lg fowl, lg egg laying faverroles on this coast. Eggs don't travel well that distance. I got eggs from Cal. only three hatched. Do you pack in the foam I hear some talking about. That might would work. Gloria Jean

Personally, I have had horrible luck with eggs that I have received that were shipped in foam. If I open a box and see foam, it earns a full on eye roll and groan.

I have had some excellent hatches that I have sent to the East coast. I have a very specific packing method that I have had excellent luck with. Steve Stone is in Arkansas, and he has LF from me, he is Sir Birdaholic on here. Honestly, I don't really keep track of who I've sent eggs to and if they are breeding or not. ;)

Oh My and it sounded so good. The foam that is. Live and learn. I may contact you later to go on your list if I can not find some closser. Thanks. Gloria Jean

I agree on the foam. The only time I have received broken eggs they were packed in foam. 4 out of 8 were broken and none hatched and I was charged extra for shipping because of the foam. It's a waste of money.
The best packaging I have had so far was individually bubble wrapped eggs in egg carton halves on top and bottom and shredded paper all around. 15 eggs were shipped to me, none broken and 11 are developing. Also the larger the box around the eggs, the more of a crush zone you have.
I have gotten eggs shipped from Colorado to Tennessee earlier this year and they did great, none broken, with a good hatch rate, but then I just had some shipped from Virginia, which I am maybe 10 minutes from the border and 1 out of 12 eggs is developing, all the others had ruptured air sacks or yolks. I think sometimes it depends on which post offices it goes through, seems like everything coming from the southern direction to me this year has been abused severely and everything west of here seemed to be just fine.
Shipping eggs is really a hit or miss situation, but nothing that will stop a determined hatchaholic

By far most salmon Faverolles are black based. However there are a few blue salmons out there, mostly bantams. Blue salmon LF are rare - Pasofinofarm and elizmartin are the only ones I know of with those.

Blue salmon works the same as blue:

salmon x salmon = 100% salmon
blue salmon x salmon = 50% blue salmon, 50% salmon
blue salmon x blue salmon = 25% salmon, 50% blue salmon, 25% splash salmon
blue salmon x splash salmon = 50% blue salmon, 50% splash salmon

There are also solid BBS Faverolles, bantam and LF, (very rare) and white Faverolles, bantam and LF, (very rare). There were buffs at one point but are now gone.

I forgot there are mahogany Faverolles as well. Also rare.
HI, must say that my LF blue salmons are Pasofino thru Mia here in Washington, My bantam blue salmon Roo is from Jeanine and had some genetics from Hatrick to start mine. I am thinking that the grey that you may be speaking of , is it the undercoat fluff???? That is a grey color in most. Also my blue salmon pullets have solid distinct blue grey tips, but do have several washed out black? tips on some hens so do not know if that would be considered something else....or just bad coloration.
Think Jeanine has bantam buffs....and there are folks working on ermine and barred and partridge....The UK Favaerolle site has most current colors...and think the Austrailian club may have a few also.

Arkansas. :) Although you are welcome to share, Keesmom. My house is always open to bearded or crested breeds (especially those which are both and also happen to be heritage or dual purpose)
