, it'll be nice to see how big they get, and how much they're gunna lay.

I've got one little polish hen that I'm going to put with my Easter Eggers. My Polish rooster turned out scrawny so he's going into pot pie. My hen is just on the verge of starting to lay, she goes around singing the hen song alot.

My buff orpington roo x Japanese kabo bantam hen cross. Her name is Dr. Girlfriend (those of you who stay up and watch Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network will know the reference of the name). She is pretty skittish and is far from friendly, but she is adorable. She lays small white eggs that I sell to my friends with small children.

I have an EE/BO cockeral that is just a sweetie. He's a dark gold color with coppery hackel and saddle feathers and a pea comb. I wasn't going to keep him, but even as a snotty teen he's gentle with the girls and is always calling them over so they can get the best treats. He also runs himself ragged trying to keep track of everybody and find good nesting spots for the girls.

so...do you have a roo for her named Monarch?!

here's one of my crazy mixed up chickies! Raven, i think she is polish crossed with silkie somewhere since she has completely black legs with 5 toes. her earlobes are white but i've been seeing a hint of blue lately. this is last year's pic but she has matured nicely! the breeder i got her egg from had a pic of Houdans on their listing and the egg size would be appropriate for that breed! she lays very large, white eggs almost every day for me! he only has one feather that has a white tip too!

eta: i hatched her from eggs that were listed as pure polish, i did not buy her from a breeder as a started bird.

As a matter of fact, I do. He's a Japanese Kabo bantam that, as far as I know, is no relation to Dr. Girlfriend. When they were given to me with 4 other hens, the hens picked on the little girl and she always hid under the rooster, who protected her. We started calling her his girlfriend. Then the names evolved from there.
