Favorite Bugs to Eat :D

Favorite? Any live insect, larva or worm. Extra points if it was fun scratching under the leaf litter for it or chasing it down! Even better if you got one and other hens didn't.

Second favorite? Dried! Still tasty, especially in the middle of winter, when the pickings aren't very good.

Not their favorite? Canned!

OOHHH...... and those nastt gross huge tomato horn worms
(i think someplaces they are called tobbacco worms)
you know those huge nasty green bugs that can consume your whole tomato bush in 12 hours!!!!
i take great pleasure in tossing those things into the chicken yard

Junebugs!! Last year my mom and sister came over every night to catch them for the chickens. We would turn on the porch light and they would swarm. We got 5 coffee cans full one night. Too bad the chickens don't eat lovebugs.
