Favorite Dog Breeds

My last dog was a Doberman. Very smart, and very easy to groom. Didn't get fleas so no flea treatments necessary! She hunted moles.
I keep all of mine on Advantix so no fleas or ticks.
Two of my past Dobermans, the black male (Dylan) in my avvy being one, were pet therapy certified. I could let Dylan loose in a daycare and he'd have been in his glory. He absolutely adored children. He'd let them climb all over him and play as rough as they wanted. He loved it.

I've only owned three dogs. My favorite I believe was a Schnauzer mix that someone gave me as an older puppy when I was in high school and without my parents' permission.

My mom was not happy at first. My dad came home from work and the puppy went to greet him just like every day normal, and my dad said 'hello' to the puppy just like every day normal.

My mom named him that night.

Greater Swiss Mountain Dog / Great Pyrenees mix. I just lost the older of the two in the photo just a few weeks ago. That dog knew I had cancer before I did. Somehow he knew if I was feeling crappy before I woke up. He'd be sitting at my bedside when I'd wake up, and he'd walk alongside me, as a crutch, to help get me to the bathroom. He'd sit alongside me when I would be getting sick, and rest his head on my lap while I sat on the bathroom floor.
I got the second one when I was recovering, hoping that they'd entertain each other as my active life had changed. The second dog is lost without his big brother - barely eating, never leaves my side, and hasn't wagged his tail - except when he's with the chickens.

I like Australian shepherds, boxers, rat terriers, and French bulldog Boston terrier mixes. I currently own 2 Australian shepherds, a boxer, a rat Chihuahua mix and 2 of the French bulldog Boston terrier mix. All are females.

I have also owned bassets, coonhounds, a border collie, a German shepherd, and an Alaskan husky. So far I've owned 20 dogs in my life, and hope to fit a few more in yet. :). Life without a dog would be sad.

Rottweiler.
Best dogs we ever had. They were very protective of us.

I miss ours.
There was Carl, Koda, and Sadie.
They didn't live long due to poisoned dog food. Koda, who was the son of Carl & Sadie, passed first. Sadie went after and then we decided to just put Carl to sleep so he wasn't suffering anymore.

Oh how sad! How did they get ahold of poisoned dog food?
