When I saw this movie, Serendipity, I thought if it were true- I would have married the other gorilla I was with in a parade as a child.

When I was 9 I went to a parade on the island I lived on, called the scotchbroom parade. When the scotchbroom would bloom there was a random parade every year. I borrowed a gorilla mask, and was in the parade, a boy on a bicycle in a full gorilla suit, he rode by me and said, "you are a gorilla too..." He kept riding. When I finally saw that movie, I thought if that movie was true I would have married the other gorilla. Years later I did marry a guy I met on the same island, and after 15 years of marriage, I saw a pic of him in the photo album at his mom's house, in a gorilla suit on a bicycle. I asked him if he was in that parade, he said yes. I said I was the other gorilla in the parade, and he told me where he saw me standing.
Next year we will be married 39 years.
