Favorite treats for your chickens

We had some leftover cobs from eating sweet corn, including one that had a lot of corn on it (none of us ate that one-I guess it wasn't full enough). I threw them out there and the chicks just stood about a foot away and stared at them. A couple of them snuck up and took a taste but for the most part, it was uncharted territory and very scary. A few hours later the cobs were picked clean so they must have finally gotten brave.

Lettuce hung from a low branch for stretching and jumping exercises. Cat food is always popular when the felines have voted with their feet over a cheapo brand. Ham or bacon rind is worth investing in a camcorder. The first incubator-hatched chicks, a pair of roos, spend all day in the kitchen porch; they've never forgotten the source of tidbits when they were tiny.

My girls love watermelon, grapes, yogurt, corn on the cob, cantaloupe, and cottage cheese, and they have gobbled up my home canned squash.

It's probably awful, but mine love, love LOVE a little bologna.

They have fun with an ear of corn too. Grapes, blueberries, oats....they're pretty spoiled.

Bird seed! Blueberries, corn on cob, bread, watermelon, eggs, greens, peas, cheese, lunch meat, steak, chicken (yeah, I know)

apples, beans, crackers, the list goes on and on...

You guys are probably gonna jump all over me for this, but they also love pizza and ravioli!!! Fattening, I know, but as the occasional treat....
