Favorite Vacuum Sealer???

I use a Food-Savr... but always wish I could afford a larger one for the geese. Some ducks will fit, but not all of them.

A chamber sealer is the only way to go in my opinion. I always have a problem with the seal not holding on the external sealers. Minipack is my fave. Assuming I can save up enough money, I plan on purchasing an MVS 45 vacuum sealer from Office Zone.

I have a high end Food Saver, and I love it. The bags are expensive.. but for up to 5x the freezer life, maybe really not.
The secret to vacuum packing chicken is have it as DRY as you can get it.

I too have the foodsaver and I use it CONSTANTLY.

I will tell you though, I will only purchase the foodsaver brand bags. I've tried other named bags and have found they just do not do as well for some reason. They are thinner and just dont hold up as nicely.

I've had my foodsaver for going on 4 years now and havent had one problem with it.

Has anyone tried the new ones I see advertized. It is a pump that sucks out the air. I believe Zip Lock or similar press and seal bags.
