I only have D'uccles right now, but I used to keep Silkies and other mixed bantams

Aww, I haven’t kept any of them breeds. Which of them breeds do you prefer for egg laying and friendliness?

Here's a few of the bantams I've owned. The Spangled hen is still around and I believe she's turning three this month.

I love our wyandottes! I do want to mix more breeds into our flock in the future, but at the moment we have gold laced and silver laced. They are great foragers who do well in our climate, good layers, and they're more friendly and intelligent than some of the other breeds I have kept in the past for sure. And of course, they are aesthetically wonderful to look at, too. The laced feathers are striking, but I also love the grown hens' round, full size, fluffy "petticoats", bright yellow legs and bright red rose combs. Ours are hatchery quality, but they're happy, healthy and beautiful to my eye.

Well, none of the bantams I have kept have been great egg layers; mostly for entertainment reasons.

They’re great all around birds.
I have 3 SLW - hatchery quality

I’m excited about my Naked Neck chicks!
They’re definitely not a breed everyone would like but there’s just something that appeals to me.
I have 6 straight run...hopefully I’ll get a few pullets out of the mix.
I got them at TS and chose them so each looks different from the others.
