Here's a few of the bantams I've owned. The Spangled hen is still around and I believe she's turning three this month.

I love our wyandottes! I do want to mix more breeds into our flock in the future, but at the moment we have gold laced and silver laced. They are great foragers who do well in our climate, good layers, and they're more friendly and intelligent than some of the other breeds I have kept in the past for sure. And of course, they are aesthetically wonderful to look at, too. The laced feathers are striking, but I also love the grown hens' round, full size, fluffy "petticoats", bright yellow legs and bright red rose combs. Ours are hatchery quality, but they're happy, healthy and beautiful to my eye.
