Do you generally prefer bantams or large-fowl?

Hmm, depends. I love the sweet little bantams because they are so easy to carry around (anywhere! ) But my large fowl are lapdogs and love to follow me around. But bantams aren't the best to keep when you free range and are surrounded by so many predators

Large fowl. They're hardier and put more food on the table. The bantams are better pets though, in my experience. They're also better at evading predators and are smarter—at least some breeds. I mainly keep OEGBs.

I love this! I had the sweetest little bantam rooster who did the same thing! He knew his name and would come jump on my shoulder and ride around any time I did stuff in the yard. Unfortunately, we found him dead in the coop one day, no idea what happened and no issues before hand. Broke my heart!!! His "sister" is just as sweet and follows me to my car almost every morning when I leave for work! She will walk right in the back door if it's open and come looking for us.

Aw! I’m so sorry that he died! Im glad that his sister is still alright!

My family wants me to get an Ayam Cemani, just so they can name the chicken 'Ninja' or Death... or some other grim name. LOL

Adorable. I had some Svarthonas once, they were sweet birds, but they both died. Female stayed out too late one night and the male couldn't take the winters.
