Can I please get an opinion about whether this is Favus or something else. My handsome guy is 7 1/2 months old and has had this white on his comb since the beginning. He is a healthy bird otherwise and none of my 8 other chicks are affected.
He’s not really the kind of guy who likes to be handled so if I do need to treat him, any tips on how to do so while causing as little stress as possible for him would be appreciated.
Monistat 7 ( miconazole) and Lotrimin, Canestan (clotrimazole) can be used daily to treat favus. Dollar Tree seels small tubes of clotrimazole for a dollar. Here is somer eading about favus and a picture: http://www.poultrydvm.com/condition/ringworm
