Feather and egg colors in EE, Ameraucana, & Araucana?

Thanks. I've had limited experience with Easter Eggers, but have yet to see an EE rooster that looks like that. I did start another thread asking for people to post pics of their EE roos. They must be out there as that color is fairly common in hens.
Huh. Well, a phenotypically partridge coloration seems to be relatively common with EE roosters. I’ve seen many. There’s also the silver version, blue version, splash version, and combinations of those.

Of course, all the above roosters likely have mixed genetics, and you can’t tell from just looking at them if they’re partridge, since they could also be duckwing or wheaten or a combination of those.

And here's some recent pictures she posted of her competition partridge hens (NZ Araucana).

These ladies don't have quite the same lacing that your original pic showed.
If the original pic is an EE then it's a good bet a partridge Ara was somewhere in the original parentage :)

I did a little fossicking on a NZ Araucana FB Page .. there's a lady not far from me that has quite a nice selection of NZ Araucana. Here's some pics she posted recently for a "Partridge Araucana" she had.

Those are gold duckwing. Partridge is also used to refer to duckwing, which appears to be the case with these.

Here in NZ its not uncommon to have slightly different naming conventions for things - compared to say US or UK :p Makes finding comparative examples a little tricker sometimes - which is why I "love" pictures. Much easier to discuss what we are both seeing..

Hmmm... Thanks. Saved the pic. What do you think about the pic of the roo I posted?

I'd rather not get an Araucana. Just because of the deadly tufts and also not keen on the tailess versions.

& For some reason the Ameraucana's all have that golden patridge "wild type" coloring bred out of them. The prettiest color I think! I just don't understand...

I'm not particular about the patterning. It could be any combo of patterning as long as it has black and gold contrasting. I just want them for myself, I don't have the time left in my life to create a healthy new breed anyways. I've just always liked those hens. Maybe it's just my imagination, but I've always found them a little quirkier. And pretty.

What kind of chickens are yours BTW?

OH Sorry :) I should mention.. Here in NZ what we call "Araucana" is your version of "Americauna" - I think..

Our "Araucana" have tails, beards and headpoofs, but no ear tufts and no terminal genes.

Regardless.. I was looking for something that resembled the colour/pattern you were looking for.. as an example of what you might need to start with from a breeding perspective.

There’s no US version of the tailed araucana, since ameraucanas here don’t have crests.

My chickens (in the pics I shared) are crosses between Sebrights and Pekins :)
Figured they would make a useful visual example for the breeding of a Laced variety to a Non-Laced variety.

But I do also have NZ Araucana in Blue/Black/Splash.

The thing with Easter Eggers is, because they are a cross between an Americauana and a Non-Americauna, it's a certainty that you're going to get "complex" results in the chicks and unless someone is putting a lot of effort into selectively breeding for a specific pattern or type, then what's on offer is most likely going to be a "lolly scramble" of options :)

It's a shame you cannot do a wee project for yourself.. to breed the type that is dearest to you :)

Ameraucanas actually do come in a duckwing/wild type coloration. Just not the gold version.

This is a silver ameraucana. They’re silver duckwing. Though they may appear far from gold duckwing, this hen is genetically only one gene off from gold duckwing.
