Feather eating and medicated feed

Quick google search turned up this which was published in 2013: The medication in medicated starter feeds such as Nutrena Medicated Crumbles is called Amprolium and is a coccidiostat. Meaning, it's an agent added to chick feed to help prevent coccidiosis in young birds.

Your choice whether you give Amprolium to your chicks or allow your adult birds to eat it. Amprolium is a thiamine blocker. I've never used it for my chicks, never had issues with coccidiosis.

If you put your general location in your profile, it will always be there. It's often impossible to provide pertinent information without location, as RR so eloquently stated.
