Chickenlover,
no offense taken at all! :)

The fry pan special is the extra roos that they have on that ship date. I never expected them to be so pretty or such a variety. My reasoning was that my husband loves to fly fish. If we got a couple pretty ones, that would be a bonus as he could save the feathers he wanted for tying flies. They are also very inexpensive compared to the plain colored chickens. ;) But they are also taking so much longer to get nice and plump.

Thant is kinda neat so when they get all fat and plump you eat the chicken and keep the feathers 4 fishing then? Well you r welcome to all my feathers in my run as well lol. I have a lot of chickens all different kinda and colors. So what kinds do you have for your own chickens for eggs?

My layers are black australorp, new hampshire red, buff orpington, auracana, easter egger, and barred rock. I wanted a variety when we started out to test out which we wanted and to get a variety of color. We had a lot more but they became the neighbor dog's food.

I'm out at the property now and am taking pictures of the roosters. So, I'll have them posted in a minute or two.

I think those are light brahma. The Dark Brahmas look like chipmunks as chicks, where the lights don't have racing stripes. From the earlier photos of the birds, I don't see any stripes.
