Feather loss on rump and lack of egg production

Hi,
We have an Easter Egger hen who has had some fairly significant feather loss on her back end. In addition to that, the feathers that are still there are covered in poop. Both of these things have been happening for months. Any ideas what is going on? Also, she hasn't laid an egg in about week or so. I assume these two issues aren't related... am I wrong? We are fairly new to raising chickens, any help would be much appreciated!

She is likely molting as far as the feather loss goes, it is that time of year. Not sure about the poop issue.
