I had the same experience - almost a year of some of my chickens having bare patched because of mites. I finally found a solution, a long soak Dr. Bronners Peppermint soap. Although, I had to clean out every shaving and scrub the 200'+ coop. Not fun. If this ever happens again, I am using this!
