For those who does feather sexing, what do you think of the chicks in the pictures, girl or boy ? They are gold laced Orpingtons, all born on Easter Day... Day 2 today.
They are quite fluffy , so hard to get a good picture of the wings... hopefully you can tell

If you mean the kind of feather sexing that has diagrams all over the internet about feathers that are the same length vs. staggered short/long, it DOES NOT WORK unless you cross specific types of parents. It relies on the fast feathering/slow feathering genes being inherited in a certain fashion (fast father, slow mother makes slow sons and fast daughters.) If both parents are fast-feathering, so are all chicks. If both parents are slow-feathering, most or all of the chicks are too.

If you mean something that is supposed to work on all chicks regardless of genetics, I believe @MysteryChicken is the current expert.

Can you redo the pictures with the extra fluff pulled back abit, so I can see all the feather buds/pins clearer please?

Thank you ! What about this one ?

Wow, you're awesome, so did yiu do that by looking at the tips of the feather and how they look? I wing sexed my chicks at 3 days old, does the staggered or not staggered method work if they are all from the same father ?
I agree, you are brilliant! I am a bit pooped they are mostly boys

My guess would be pictures 4 and 6 are male but I don't know for sure.
