Maybe wait and take some more closeup pics over the next few weeks.
I'd be tempted to take daily pics, feathers grow pretty fast.
Just send them an email with some closeup pics,
and the details of when you bought the chicks,
and ask if they've ever seen it before.
They may or may not respond. Worth a shot.
