    The article has been shared before on BYC. And it has its information wrong too. The birds are skinned after being killed, not plucked alive like it makes them sound like they do. The whole pelt is often sold, or separated into pieces. Making fly fishing lures from rooster feathers has been around a long time.

    SOme girls in my school have these, but I'm not sure that they are real feathers.

    My daughter has some that she paid a pretty penny for - they are very real - just dyed.
