What have you been feeding?
We just recently picked up this local brand of feed, since we were out of Purina Medicated start and grow.

Is it a pelleted poultry feed or scratch? What does that pink label say?She loves the chunks of corn in her feed. I however am not a fan and will be going with something that doesn't look like junk food for chickens in a 40 lb bag
Would amoxicillin be good? I will try and drop by Petco to pick some up in a bit. Wilco didn't have it... I'm not sure about dosage but I have heard of other people using it for a similar purpose.Since you strongly suspect it was caused by a cat, Yes.

Yes, but what is it LOL Layer, grower, chick starter, all flock, etc.?

Amoxicillin is fine to use for wounds.
Dosage is 57mg per pound of weight given orally 2times a day for 5-7 days.
That should be fine to use, but if you don't like the way it's made, then switch to something else.Sorry! It's a grower/starter. Here's a pic of the label, it's a bit hard to read though...

Interesting. So it's not a pelleted or crumble feed? More like a scratch with different ingredients?Okay, thanks. I wasn't sure since I have heard that corn isn't the best for them, and there are a lot of chunks of corn in this food.
