I went out to let me girls out this morning and saw a large collection of feathers in the area under the coop (fenced in for them to play in). My first thought was something got in and killed on of the girls but there was no blood or body and no breaches in the defences. I discovered one of my girls had the the feathers just above her tail bones torn out. The skin is pretty torn up and bloody. I isolated her so the others wouldn't try to eat her.
My best guess is one of the geese got uppity and went after her, or she was too close to the fence and something reached through to grab her. Any suggestions on fixing her back up?
