I have a dumb question.

Now that I have my roostern ratio at a normal level (1 rooster,15 hens) will my hens back and tail feathers grow back? If so how long does it take? I have one poor hen that is almost completely bald, and I am afraid it will freeze come winter time.

Yes, they will grow back in time. More than likely after a good molt. Should be any time now, with fall comeing soon....( so they say)(this heat is unbearable!) How long have you had that ratio? Will take a few weeks to see the start of good feathers coming in..

I have only had that ratio for one day now. Up until yesterday the ratio was 5 roosters to 15 hens. (Yes I feel very bad for the hens), but I just now was able to build a seperate pen for my roosters.
