I have nothing. No peeps no rocking eggs. The one who knocked a bunch of shell off looks like the white under the shell is turning darker. I want to cry. I have been up every two hours checking all night.

Today is the morning of day 23, Out of 8 eggs that went into lockdown 5 chicks hatched on their own and 1 was and assist hatch. The 5 big fluffballs went into the brooder last night and the one I assisted is a tiny Japanese Bantam I left her in the incubator by herself over night I thought it was safer for her since she seemed weak and still had a little yolk to absorb. I still am quite unsure of what to do with her since she is so small she is the only bantam that hatched.

I knew I should have helped 13 last night. She didn't make it. I read tha assisted hatch thread and when it said "membranes darkening and tanning help) well...that was hours ago. I pulled the egg, chipped, poked a little, chipped some more. She was fully developed and expired in the shell. Now, do I mess with 17 and 19 from yesterday this time?!?!?!

BTW, they don't always rock. Try not to worry so much.

I think the humidity is off. It was calibrated when we started, but things malfunction right? I

If your only on day 21 I wouldnt mess with any of the other eggs. I only did my first assist last night and its because she was pipped for about 36 hours and I noticed she was still moving but very obviously stuck. Sometimes they pip and die from exhaustion. My last batch had a large hole that i never noticed since it was upside down when I found it she was like yours. It happens try not to be sad
