FEB HATCH-ALONG THREAD ...COME JOIN US.... EVERYONE!

When I went to bed last night I had 16 chicks and 6 eggs left to hatch! When I woke up this morning at 5:30 there were 21 babies in my incubator, so I have 1 egg left to hatch now. I would take the dry ones out but I can't tell how big a pip there is in the other egg, if any at all!!!! OMG!!!! I can't believe I actually did it!!!!! :weee

Congrats! Great job!

This is what my second yo hatch yesterday morning STILL looks like....but she is bone dry!
Grape. One of my babies looked like that too when she came out. Like the lining was all over her like glue. I washed her in warm water and now she is almost three weeks old. I say it is ok to wash just keep beak out of water when washing or use warm wash rags.

How adorable!!! Her name should be Crispy Cram Puff and call her C.C. for short.

I was thinking same thing

sounds like she is going to do well :clap  I used to worry about putting the tiny ones in w others too, but I have found that they do best when I do put them in. They snuggle up w/ the others & learn to eat & drink much faster too
I did same thing. My older chicks taught my new babies what to do. They r all so gentle. The all snuggle together even my ducks! Aww.

Some of mine came out pretty gooey. I washed with a warm diaper wipe & blow dried them Perfect little fluff butts!

Good morning! I was relieved to wake up to everyone doing well in the brooder, and a new pip in the incubator. My wonky-air-cell-chick that I had to help out of his shell over the past two days made it through the night and is still lagging behind the others but is alert and walking around a bit. So, there's hope for it!

Here's my miracle baby..Crispy. I think the name really stuck when gape encouraged her when she saw the first picture saying: Come on Crispy!

When she was fighting for her life, and she was crispy hard. There was no chipping
away at the shell to help her out, it just crumbled in my hand, and there was the stuff.
so I hurried and pulled her neck up out of it. Cleared most of it away, she had bled a
lot! No way I thought, but I put her in the incubator, with no egg shell around her, just
her and the yolk to be absorbed.

Here she is after she finally woke up

She's so cute..I don't know, maybe she needs a cutsie name.. :D

Pretty sweet baby
Awwww!!! I am so glad crispy pulled through!!!!!
