Could the dark spot be where the chick has pipped into the air cell- I mean is the dark spot maybe the chicks beak? Oh Lord, I feel a bit helpless here as I don't want to tell you the wrong thing! Can you see movement?

Of 4 silkie eggs... one has hatched this morning, another has pipped, and nothing from the other 2 yet.

The one hatched is quite a jabber box! & it's farting around all over the bator bumping into eggs, trying to wake up it's siblings I'm sure. I hope they listed to it. LOL!

I say maybe poke a hole in ONE of them... but I am no expert. Day 23 is kinda late, but hey, my chick hatched on day 23 fine. One minute and I'll post a thread where you can get good info on.
Did you candle and see if the air cell is pipped?Id do that first ...then Tap on the air cell end and listen see if you hear a peep or tap...
then Id poke a small hole too
the float test ...my own humble opinion....i dont think it works that well. Too many ppl find they have a live one when they open and think they dont. Pipping it will tell GOOD LUCK!

As for color...do you know what the parents were? I've had one's look like that before and they turned out either white or buff.

I put 21 eggs into lockdown last night! They are all from ColdUpNorth. 3 silkie crosses, 3 EE's, and the rest are Spitzhauben crosses. Hoping for a few chicks by the end of the weekend!

Woke up to 1 Serama egg pipped this morning. Just went and checked and there is lots of chirping going on in there. Come on little chickie!!!
