Thank you!!! Turns out I dont have enough holes in my turner for all my eggs, so I kept the dirtiest eggs out for now til I get my second incubator set up this weekend

I have 2 bators too. The big one I use for day 1-18, then switch the eggs to my small brinsea bator for hatching. In my big bator there is a space along one side where the turner ends. If I have too many eggs to fit the turner I put them lined up along that little side space. I think I can fit like 8-9 extra eggs there. I don't know what kind you have but check to see if you have a space like that, if so you can put them in now then move them to the other when you get it set up...

I have 5 barred rock that just may make to hatch day on the 15th. Makes me sad to think how many didn't make it. But I just may get a couple. Would like to join along. Hopefully adding good news along the way.

Hi, this is my first time I have about 10 eggs due to hatch today, and I havn't heard any chirping from the bator and no cracks or holes in the shells yet? Is this normal and when should I start to worry? Thanks for any feedback.

What day did you set your eggs? It may actually be day 20 and not day 21. I just had an egg that was 23 days old hatch this morning so I wouldn't be too worried yet.

Thanks, that is what I thought (and am hoping for.) They will be set tomorrow night after resting, 3 nights after I set Blue/Black Coppers, which I know can take a bit longer to hatch. Hopefully they will cooperate with me and hatch around the same time!

Do you have a separate bator to use as a hatcher? When your BCM eggs go into lockdown you will be raising the humidity and if the other eggs are left in there they may end up drowning because of the excess moisture from the raised humidity.

Day 20 and some are rolling around! Please Please I pray they pip and make it out ok especially since my first two didnt make it! I will cry if they don't make it

Sending you some good hatch vibes! I know how you feel. Since Dec. I've had 5 diff sets of eggs go to lock down (I'm on #6 now) out of all of those I only had 6 live chicks. 4 lav orps the other night, they died a few hours after hatching, 2 never made it out of the shell. 1 lav orp who died on day 3, and 1 very healthy & beautiful silkie chick. I think that's the reason I'm so attached to the silkie, she's my little survivor! I didn't know until last week that my humidity & temp were too low... And I did cry- every time!

So I am praying you & I & everyone else will have great hatches, it's so upsetting to wait so long for the little fluff butts only to end up w/ nothing...

Yeah Barred Rocks!!! I have BR eggs hatching right now with some more set to hatch the 14th and on the 25th.

I'm also on day 21 today, no peeps or pips- just give it time. I know how hard that is, but it can & usually does take a long time! Good luck!

don't you just love the SFH? I have 10 of them about 8 wks old. Got mine from NY, the colors are gorgeous! Mine were strait run, & I lucked out, looks like 9 girls& 1 boy. And none with split wing, plus all of mine are crested

I have quail eggs that should be here tomorrow! And those should hatch by the end of the month! and then my bator get a break until the easter hatch a long set day!!
