Brooks I need advise- my 2 chicks hatche out a fw hours ago- the smaller one came out about an hour b/4 he larger one. the smal is very strong, after resting a short time began scrambling around to try standing etc. the larger chick seems worn out, look much longeror it to get out of shell, then forever to try moving around. seems like it's neck is weak or somthin- I can't find any info- can you help? have youever had this?

Hopefully the chick is doing better this morning. I am thinking it's just needing the extra rest. As long as it's not peeping in distress I wouldn't worry to much. Some of them just need more time to recoup.

Here I was at 4 in the morning getting ready for a craft fair and I decide to check on the eggs one more time and I found an egg had pipped and I could hear chirping!!! Then another egg beside it was rocking and rolling around!!! I'm so happy I can barely contain it. If it wasn't for the fact that my hubby had just went to sleep (he was so kind as to help me with my last minute rush) I would have squealed loudly!!!! Then I get up this morning and a second egg has pipped!! I broke out the video camera since I'll be gone all day. I want to catch it hatching if I can.
