I am going this weekend and getting some chicks if they get them in. I can't wait!!!!! I hope to get some pure RIR!!!!

we had a bin FULL of RIR at mine the other day!!




they also had a bin full of BR (which they NEVER got in last year)




and for the first time EVER that I have seen...Partridge Rock!




and this is how I started *my* morning!!

i turn my eggs by hand 3 to 4 time a day and only candle once in awhile at like day 4 day 7 day 17

april can i see the inside of your incubator for the hand turning of the eggs? please???

here are my first two chicks to hatch today. my wife named them Val and Cupid... Happy Valentine's Day

awwww welcome to the world Val and Cupid!!! One of my best cats in my whole life was named Cupid! He died after being bitten by a copperhead last year

They are so pretty!!!

What's the best way to candle? I have silkie eggs but I was having a hard time seeing

just candled a few mins a go and all have lil wiggles in them but i have a concern there is a few that have messed up air sacks shuold i be worried and the ones that have the messed up air sacks were shipped eggs shuold i be concerned?

If they start to chirp then they are ok.(they dont always though even if they are perfect).Really cant do much anyway see how it comes out. Someone a few days ago had that and had a fine hatch. GOOD LUCK!!

Hello all you Valentines!!
IM on day 20 with my first home grown egglets Lavender Orpingtons and some mixed by my black part english Orp roo x Buff Brahmas girls Should be interesting. Pretty exciting SHOW TIME!!!
Hopefully I will see some action later today or tonite. Only saw 8 I thought might make it but i put them all in lockdown anyway who knows.Onlly threw out one clear
