I'm setting on Saturday (16th) so my eggs won't hatch until March, but I'm setting bantam BRs, bantam polish, bantam cochins, and checking my mixed banty flock for fertility!

Good luck w/ them! I will still have some due in March too- a lot of us will. I want bantam polish!!! That's the last breed I am planning on getting- for now

Hi all

So far we have:
2 Ameraucanas out of their shells and doing well
2 Ameraucanas cracking/pipping the shell
2 Australorps cracking/pipping the shell
that's half way through the set for today!!! in a home made incubator that was given to me made from a styrofoam cooler.

Ok, ok Hope is showing Bebe the way around the brooder & precisely how to make a mess!! LOL I will leave Silkie Hope in with Bebe until the next one is ready to come out Hope has 4 other friends in her own brooder She's just the smallest.

Here they are!!

Look how sweet they look! I also have a tiny silkie, Sugar Peeps. I put her in w/ my new bantams so she could teach them the way around too. Then I had to also add my 2 small sb d'uccle cause they are buddies w/ Peeps. The little ones are doing so much better since I added the others in w/ them

Sooo when I got the bator ready for lock down w/ water & the foamy grip material, I took the 2 damaged eggs into a dark room & just sat candling till I found what I was looking for

Both of the boo boo eggs are alive still!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could just scream

& already hearing little tapping noises in the quail egg & a few other of my EE eggs!

sooo my eggs are still cooking- the kits are snuggled up together sleeping & I'm feeding my face & catching up on here to keep busy.

well my buff brahmas eggs came in to order 12 got 16 but two were cracked now i just wait until this feb 19 hatch goes on and in for the buffs some lav amerucanuas and lav stantard cochins

If the cracks are not too bad, some ppl seal it with wax- even tape and it worked.

Got 6 Light Sussex under my broody Australop x. Today is day 20 and I can hear the babies on the way!!
