::Krip & Wobble update::
The light one is a reg sized chick, hatch mate of Krip, from Jan hatch. Krip my black & white & little Wobble. Krip has her joint pad off for a while for some breathing time. Wobble is continuing w/ her walking & started drinking & nibbling food on her own!

As you can see here - Krip's foot is kind of twisted & Wobble standing nice & tall! I have high hopes for these 2 w/ their progress so far.
What beauties! They look like they are doing quite well with your chicken nursing.

I am locking down 35 BR, BLRW, OE, EE and a few Ameraucana. on Saturday.

I had some eggs hatch 2 days ago and was cleaning out the hatcher yesterday and found an egg that still had the yolk in it. None of the chicks died or seem stunted. I haven't seen this before. Did the chick not suck up the yolk or was it a double yolk?

Hey & welcome! Kind of looks like it was a double yolk- from the pic it looks like a while yolk or at least a lot of it. If one of your babies had not absorbed all that I don't think it would have made it... jmo

My incubator doesn't tell me humidity, so I have no clue.
Just some barnyard mixes I got from a friend.

You might want to invest ( about $10 ) in a hygrometer, it measure the temp & humidity for you. I didn't think I'd need one, UNTIL I had failed hatches in a row!

Well, I woke up this morning, and I have a pip! No wonder I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't sleep. This little guy also makes A LOT of noise!!!
Ok now I see you have a brinsea mini- can't tell if it's the mini advance or now- anyway, never mind about the hygrometer LOL you don't need it for the brinsea. I have a lg styro incubator that I use for days 1-18, then I have a brinsea mini advance that I move them over to for lock down & hatch. I had to get the hygrometer for my styro bator. And congrats on the pip! Hope you have a great hatch!
