Yes, do more.If you are close by me I would give you some eggs!
Doesnt look like it was 99.5.Looks like 95? that is a little too low.Humidity sounds perfect. You need the temp as close to 99.5 as possible 99.5-100
this is the themometer that came with the bator
the hydrometer that i got from walmart...if i'm reading correctly the humidity is 38%, so is the high/low ok or do i need to try to readjust them? The temps are reading pretty close to each other...so the temp is good right?
the temp went a littel wacky cause i opened the bator to get a good pic...what's your thoughts?
these are the eggs i'm fixing to set once the bator is good to go!
Thanks!!!
Wow Cool ..come on chicks!I have 3 BBS Orp Eggs and 4 Swedish Flower hens in lockdown since Tuesday night. I was just cleaning out my other hatcher (eggs are in another hatcher right next to it) and I heard chirping!!! No pips yet but at least I know someone has internally pipped.![]()
egg #1 (big bator) is doing the same thing one of my ch orp chicks did last weekend. instead of zipping it's just making a big hole. and now I have 2 more eggs with tiny pips (small bator) I guess my duck eggs will have to miss a couple of hand turnings- but they are in the auto turner so not like they are just sitting still.
this is when I first saw the pip- boy what a surprise
