does not look like it's in danger-
normally that will 'break' after she starts moving around. You don't see any unabsorbed yolk do you?She is all the way out except the goo connecting her butt to the egg....
Well, I put the peeps in the brooder and placed some eggs under the hen. If she stays on these eggs I will switch them out and let her hatch the ones in my bator. I didn't want to risk my bator eggs until I am sure she will set on them. Since it's about 15 eggs I may let her raise the next hatch. I really hated taking the hatchlings from her this morning, but she was a good sport about it.Wish i had some advice...sorry! Yeah cold i dont know they could die if shes gone too long and if you took them probably would stay on the nest but i am just guessing. Any way you can bring her inside to heat with the babies and then sneak some other eggs under her inside?
I knew I should have helped 13 last night. She didn't make it. I read tha assisted hatch thread and when it said "membranes darkening and tanning help) well...that was hours ago. I pulled the egg, chipped, poked a little, chipped some more. She was fully developed and expired in the shell. Now, do I mess with 17 and 19 from yesterday this time?!?!?!
sorry 13
