I can't wait to see pics of the nn/Polish!!! What a mix. I have a silkie polish and my nn roo, so I am hoping for some of the same later this year. The turken is a polish!! Polish are my only white egg layers so I know for a fact I got my Polturk lol. So far 3 have hatched, I hope there will be more by tomorrow. I locked down my 32 eggs in the incubator tonight, the chicks appeared to be large and I was told 16 - 18 days for a still air incubator is good so I'm at day 17. Waiting for the humidity to get up to 65%, seems like it's taking a lifetime. Can you tell me if it is alright to leave my thermometer on top of the eggs during lock down or should I put it on the bottom (grate)? We had beautiful weather today 45 and tomorrow it's supposed to be 47.now for the big thaw and mud. Maybe my Muscovys will start laying. Since it has warmed up we finally put our potbellied piglet outside, Mr. Pig AKA Pork chop, Porky, or MP Hammer lol. He was the runt so we syringe Fed him, litter box trained him, socialized him with our 1 1/2 year old grandson, but pig poo smells horrible so I'm glad he's out in the barn being a pig. He gets the run of our yard when we are outside but goes back in his stall/pen at night. We still have his mom but rehomed the boar and the rest of the babies, I didn't want to contribute to the potbellied pig problem, they don't stay small forever! His mother wants nothing to do with him but maybe come summer pasture time they will see eye to eye. We did get him fixed. I'd love to see pictures of your hens LRH, SORRY I don't know your name.![]()
